These audiobooks are called Playaways, and instead of coming on a CD or cassette, they come on their own self-contained digital audio player. Playaway Audiobooks: The Middle School LMTC has over 80 audiobooks students can check out and take home. Again, you will need a public library card number to access these books. (This same software will help you in High School, as the WHS LMTC has its own ebook collection using the same system.) The South Central Library System also subscribes to EBSCOHost eBooks. You will need a public library card number to access these books, and you will need to install some software that will help you download and manage your ebooks and reading devices. Search the collection via the Wisconsin Digital Book Center or in LinkCat. Public Library: The South Central Library System (of which Waunakee Public Library is a part) offers downloadable electronic books and audiobooks.
